    Surprised this isn't up yet.

Ben Roethlisberger was involved in a motorcycle accident last week. He underwent 7 hours of surgery to repair the multiple fractures he received.

He was released 3 days after the accident.

    Nothing major it seems.

He wasn't wearing a helmet which is required by law. I believe police are citing him for it and it's some pissy fine.

Thing now is that the woman also involved, a 62yo, has been targeted by Steeler fans and has received threats to her home and what not.

    ffs.

a quick google will give more details, my web is a bit slow on the news sites right now

Really? The OP said he was released and it was nothing serious.

On the topic of crazy fans, wasnt there som columbian soccer player killed for missing a peno back in the day, or was that done by mafia?

Yeah but he clearly can't follow orders dished out from the management, who wants a player that can't follow a simple order like don't ride your motorbike??

I think it was mafia but nobody really knows!!!

The crash wasnt his fault as a car came out of a one way lane and hit him. He was thrown forward and had several head injuries which he would not of had if he had the helmet on.He also had no drivers licence which expired in march. It was his own fault for driving with no helmet and license and may of caused his team alot more chaos that he did and he is also lucky to be alive. Also hearing that steelers number 1 pick may not see much action in his first season now that he has been arested and not participating in training.

Well if hes good, a lot of Teams will want him no matter what he does, look at Jamal Lewis, Ricky Williams, etc. Anyway hes far from ruined his career- hes still employed aint he?
