    I'm on Eircom Broadband.

Anytime I try to upload a photo to any sort of site, it does NOT work. Come's out simply as ****. I tried to upload a photo with ImageShack 5 mintues ago. Here's the result:

    philelectric3fl4sp.jpg

And it's not a problem with the PC. I've tried it on my laptop and on my home computer and the same result on both happens.

Why is this happening? If any body could shed some light on this I would be v. greatful...

PS: Hope this is the right forum.. thanks guys...

What's your upload speed like? I remember when my upload was 128k I often had problems uploading to imageshack and so on. Problem was that it took too long to upload and the server timed out. If the image is large then the server may be timing out before recieving the full image, hence the corruption.

That's all I can think of right now.

    Speed

    742.2 kilobits per second
    Communications 742.2 kilobits per second
    Storage 90.6 kilobytes per second
    1MB file download 11.3 seconds
    Subjective rating Good

That's the results i got from a speed test..

Also, it doesn't matter what size the image is. I can't upload it at home but the same images work on other peoples PC's no problem..

    Any other suggestions?

Crazy nonsensical problems with a tiny jpg of a green smear to highlight the issue?

Sure, get it all the time.

try using http://wthax.org to upload and link the resulting image.

It sounds like it coud be a problem caused by packet fragmentation because your MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) may be too high. Try setting it slightly lower with DrTCP.
