Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I am running Windows xp pro on my laptop and i also have administrator rights, but i am unable to change my desktop wallpaper or screen saver. The listbox and combo box with all the different options are greyed out in the display properties form. I've cheked gpedit.msc but all the options are set to not configured.

    Can anyone help?

    Cheers in advance

Are you on a domain? Might be domain policy.

If you view a picture and right click, do you have the 'Set as desktop' option?

There's a 'set as background' option in Microsoft paint, try that?

I see u say u r in a domain there, try logging onto another pc on the network, this will narrow it down to see if it is your user account is the problem or the PC ( its most likely your user account ) , also to double check that get someone else to log onto your PC and see what the story is ( re being able to change wallpaper etc )

    try in safe mode

try a different theme windows classic ?

do you have active desktop running / any wallpaper app ?

try the slide show on then off

this app will change your wallpaper www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/BgInfo.html then try to change back again

you could regedit it but not fun

BTW I can't set my wallpaper at all , that tab is missing in my display properties, I can't even see grey boxes :(
