Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How are you planning to "keep in touch?" GPRS is going to be charged at 5c per kb. To put it in context, it will cost you 50 euro per meg downloaded. The 2s has wifi though.

The XDA IIi has WiFI also. will work well in hotspots.

Used mine in Spain UK and South Africa.

    Not problems at all.
But cannot wait for the XDA Exec

sorry, should have said what i meant by keeping in touch - i need to access my email while on holiday (self employed so can't afford not to!). was going to use xda or alternatively could bring the laptop and use a vodafone mobile data card (or similar). possibly a question for another thread but if i buy an unlocked data card presumably i can buy a pay-as-you-go phone card when i get there and it will be cheaper?? not sure what the best option is, ideal solution won't cost me a fortune and means i can leave the laptop at home!

Either make frequest visits to an internet cafe and check your mail (if you have web access) or bring along something with a wifi card and jump on someone elses wifi connection. I'am just back from Spain and like you needed to check mail frequently. There were lots of unsecured wifi connection around!!!!
