I never said anything, but I've been away for the last week and a half, sunbathing in France while you were all slaving at the Junior Cert. : p And I am now back.

Just posting to let y'all know that your posts are gonna actually all be read once again. Hope you had fun with the exams, everyone is done now, yes? So, what's everyone's plans for the rest of the summer?

(This is, um, relevant to the Junior Cert in that it is post-Junior Cert relaxation, yes)

I'm gonna be doing sweet **** all. :)
I'll probably go camping/rock climbing/cycling and stuff and go to a few gigs here and there. Besides that I'll just be hanging around with my freinds kicking around a ball and going into town etc.

Gaeilteacht on Wednesday for three weeks than off to that "other" camp for another three weeks. Neither are my choice, but I'm looking forward to going back to the Gaeilteacht

    Leechrum.:D
    It will be savage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,739 ✭✭✭Jello

Yeah I haven't heard much about Leechrum this year...except that Dead Girls and Boys are playing....and their website doesn't have much to offer.
Also I doubt I could persuade many to come out to Leitrim.
Is the line-up good otherwise this year then yeah?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭ANarcho-Munk

Yup, there's quite a good line-up so far, unfortunatly a few bands weren't able to make it but all the good one's will still be playing.
The Freebooters, Runnin' Riot, Roosky, The Boy You Hit is Dead, 1000 Drunken Nights, The Hypocritickles, Dein Kampf among others will be playing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,739 ✭✭✭Jello

    Ah cool.
I'd love to see Runnin' Riot...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭ANarcho-Munk

Aye, their ****ing amazing. They have a new cd in the works as well iirc. Personally I can't wait to see Roosky, they put out a cd lately and it's a really great hardcore sound to it.

Oh, Complan and Droppin' Bombs are playing too.
There's a link somewhere with loads of irish punk mp3's, I'll try look for it if you want?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,739 ✭✭✭Jello

    All right yeah cool thanks!
Yeah I've heard a lot about Droppin' Bombs too.. kinda like Leftover Crack as far as I remember.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭ANarcho-Munk

    Here ya go. http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~dregin/audio/audiofiles/
Dropping Bombs are named under Scutrag there for some reason.

They're a bit like Leftover Crack, wouldn't say they sound too much like them besides the ska element.
I wish Paranoid Visions were playing Leechrum, that'd be mad.

We'll probably get banned for off-topic posting..

    But we mean no harm..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭ANarcho-Munk

    Haha yeah.

We are merely discussing music to listen to post-junior cert. ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,739 ✭✭✭Jello

    Exactly.

And I just clicked on the calendar and saw it's your Burtday today.
    Happy Birthday.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭ANarcho-Munk

    Heh, thanks.
Perfect timing for a birthday, the friday after the junior cert. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,739 ✭✭✭Jello

    Haha, yeah.
Some good stuff on that site btw.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭ANarcho-Munk

Yeah, Stomach Inc and The Freebooters are my favourite bands on that. The Stomach Inc cd I bought is probably the best and most listened to cd that I have by an irish band. It's really really great, they probably still have a copy or two of it in Borderline.

Damn, there's so many good irish bands around atm.

I'm going to the Gaeltacht (Inis Oirr) at the end of July. I really can't wait! I have a bit of a giddy dance every day at the thought of it. I wish I had gotten into the July course, better weather, and sooner! but y'know.

I'm working from August. I will finally have some money. Thank God.

Now I have to just find somewhere new to go out that all my friends will be allowed out to. Hard work!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,851 ✭✭✭PurpleFistMixer

    Do I sense a birthday banning? : p

And well, this thread isn't exactly too topic driven anyway, but let's try not alienate the other posters with esoteric subject matter, now...
