Anyone know anyone that does gates for the side of houses. Wooden gates preferably and would prefer not to be B+Q, Homebase etc...Also garden sheds or decking ??
    Any info appreciated.

There is a place on the dock road that sells timber garden sheds. It is located just next to that petrol station that has closed recently, just before where they built that new roundabout at the entrance to the old Green Park race course.

Unless you want to spent 800 to over 1k B&Q I think
have the Best Value vs Quality.

If you look they have 3 sheds at the moment. One that looks like
an outhouse toilet (small) a mid size one for 300euro thats falling apart
and a better one for 350 euro.

I Just ordered the shed from B&Q the one they had for 350 yo yo's has
a better quality wood, the backs of the double doors are better re enforced
and it has solid tongue in groove flooring. (A lot of other sheds
have semi-solid or chipboard floors which are crap and really really dodgy
should they get wet) The wood panals
on the side are assembeled better than some of the other sheds
It also has a little bit of an over hang on the roof so rain wont some stright down on the top of the doors.
I compared this shed 8x6 ft I think to some of the others and its of a better
quality. (even the wood is stronger) seen some of the display ones elsewhere
and they were nearly falling apart on their own.

On the Downside there is a 4 weeks wait for them to order. Delivery is
30-50 Euro and it comes flat packed so you need to install it yourself.

I looked at the ones in the dock road and did not like the quality of them.
Buckleys have Sheds too but they have a rep for being expensive.
(I did not price them though)

"Aventure world swingsets" also do sheds and they will come
and assemble it for you. They are out in Crecora they got a
    tel number 061 307850 and mobile 087 7559455
They also have a website but dont have any prices on it.
Dunno if I am allowed to post the link here or not.

I am also on the lookout for a side Gate. 3ft made from wood.
Have not gone looking yet but have not seen anyplace selling then
either when I was browsing for other stuff.
Although it may be cheaper to buy some wood and just make one.

For a garden shed -barrys sheds in ardnacrusha do a good job also.. they also come and do the install for you. all you need are about a dozen blocks for the base. they are reasonable enough also. dont know if they do gates, but they do make the stuff themselves.

Forget all of the above.....best wooden gate maker around is called John and he makes gates in the evening time. He'll fit it based on your requirements and to fit your house. His craftsmanship is excellent.

    Call him on 087 2966283.

Can't recommend him highly enough. We paid about 200 for our gate.....

I got my side gate from a guy down in Workspace about 4 years ago. Excellent job and fitted it also for 250 quid if I remember correctly. Cant remember if it was euro or pounds though.
