Parsnips Price

    I love parsnips, but was wondering why they are so expesnive, 2.30e bought me 3, so they are not mega expensive , but compared to other veg they are very expensive. Fot the same price I could have a bag of carrots. I presume that parsnips are locally grown.

    Parsnips take a long time to mature, and right about now they could be in short supply.Yours may be imported which would account for the price diff.

    It is not the season for parsnips thats why they are so expensive at the mo.

    In the winter they are cheap as.

    Mmmmmmm roast parsnips. If you haven't tried these before I'd recommend them.
