Yeah, and what did I say about that type of advertising?

Well I'd have to say that 90% of the arguments stuff is politics/SU related
Ditto. And like Blowfish I tend not to bother to even read them. The forum is useful to get info about things that go on or what to do in course X, etc. I try to help out as much as I can. And hopefully that will make it useful for people who only pop in to with a query or two.

I saw it as a ucd soc informing the ucd students of an event which is commonly done on this forum. Also stated for that were the reasons for the event which people may or may not agree with, but their being an unofficial society is a matter for the ucd authorities and has nothing to do with boards and that they have broken the law is nothing to do with boards, it would be different if that was the nature of the event being advertised. blaming them for the tight security for drinking on campus and stating that it was easier before they started while condemning them for drinking on campus is imo risible. For the record I'm not saying this hoping to appeal the decision of the moderator, it's the moderators decision, but I see no benefit in denying the members of the forum the right to disagree if the subject comes up.

why is there always an argument going on here in some shape or form? I only drop by very occasionally to check dates and see what's happening and shít, and there's always a fight about who's left or right wing, or who's smarter than who, or who's shoes are shinier than who's. From someone from the outside of the clique, but also in UCD, I gotta say, it makes some people look very petty, and i mean that in a genuine way, not trying to be confrontational or anything. Then again, you know what they say about familiarity....

Just speaking for myself here I do find that maybe I vent a bit of frustration on these boards every now and again after a hard days slog in the terrace:o
And I say things got a bit stressful around here cos of the exams perhaps. I think that things may be different when we start back in september, what with new people coming into UCD.

I for one am trying to do less of the su ranting/fighting on here.Actually I dont think ive been involved in an su argument for a good month or two now:) By next September I shall be totally cured of my su crazy rantings!

Sorry to see you go Happy crack head!

I should have locked this sooner...

This is not the place to discuss moderating decisions. Read the charter.
