Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Basically ive set up a wireless network between my desktop and laptop using a NETGEAR router and wireless card in the laptop. My broadband connection runs through my router and into the PC.

    I can access the internet on the wireless laptop but can't access any sites on my desktop. Would anyone have a clue whats going on? I know its gonna turn out with me being stupid but any help would be greatly appreciated.

    On desktop:

    Start->run->cmd.

    In the command prompt that opens do the following:

    1)Type ipconfig /all.
    2) Type ping [insert gateway ip address from step 1 here]
    3) Type ping www.boards.ie
    4) Type ping 82.195.136.250

    Post the output of each of the four commands back here.

    Does that mean that you can't access the internet from your desktop, or you can't access a shared folder on the desktop from the laptop?
