Title should read: Alternative/cost effective ways of generating interest in service.

    Hey there,

Well, I came back on here expecting a reply to a thread I had posted a few hours earlier only to find that I hadn't actually posted it. So unless it got lost somewhere on Boards, here is what I was trying to ask again.

I've been looking into the best ways to promote my service. Can't go into details but that's not really important at the moment. I basically want to let certain professions aware that my service exists and let them know how it will be of use to them. The medium in which I was going to do this was through the written word, simply getting letters and envelopes printed and sending them out. However, I quickly found out that it would be more expensive than expected and although I haven't discarded it, Im looking for possible alternatives.

A stand at a trade show for example is an option, but I'd prefer something more specialised, a collection of decision makers at a conference for example. Some of you may have heard of that Hedge Fund event in England where everybody dressed up in 60's gear. That sort of thing is what I'm after, doesn't have to be as informal, but it would be easier to people when they're all in the same boat.

So if you have any ideas or input, it'd be much appreciated if you could let me know.

    Regards,
    Jonathan.

PS. I realise there are similar threads on boards but I feel this deals with the subject in a different way.
