i'd like to have a radio show.

does anyone know any stations that take people on, for the craic.

like a community station, or pirate, argh!

any info on how to get my much needed message on the air, would be greatly appriciated.

Most community radio stations will require you to do their training course first, and you'd probably start out by helping out on another show before a programme proposal of your own would be considered.

At least, that's how we do things at NEAR.

You'll be able to find your local community station on the Community Radio Forum's website:

Its not really the same thing, but you could try online stations.

NEAR fm is located Coolock and services North East Dublin.

We run several FETAC certified training courses each year and take new volunteers from that. Drop me a PM and I'll send you on the contact details of the station if you're interested.

Usually you have to do a 4/5 week training course followed by some hands on help with other programs before thry let you do one yourself in a community station. Good luck with your program!:)
