Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What company owns the 53101 number? You know the one they announce on RTE radio for text message competitions.

I wanna use it for mobile phone online payment for users who may not have credit cards.

Anybody have any experience in this field?

    Thanks,

    Peter

There are two things you would want to bare in mind. Firstly is that you need an application that would allow you to verify that people have paid via a mobile. AFAIK, the only such product in Ireland was this and it has been discontinued. The alternative is writing your own, which is not a cut ‘n paste other peoples’ code type of project.

The second factor is that you will only get about half of the revenue generated - more for higher bands, less for the lower ones. So if you’re looking at the 50c (+VAT) band, expect to get back less than 20c from a service provider. And that’s before you add in possible set-up, rental fees and payment failures (not all payments go through).
