    Hi,

A friend of mine has a broadband enabled line and connection with Eircom. She wants to get a fax machine, can this work over the same line or does she need to get a second line in.

    TIA,
    V

A fax machine uses your standard PSTN.
Basically its a phone. And since DSL allows you to use the phone at the same time the answer is yes.

Make sure the Fax has a microfilter attached too!

    Hi D,

    Thanks for that.

Just one presumption I would like clarification on I presume that if I use a multifunction printer with fax and attach a microfilter on it it would work fine.

    TIA

Yes. I'm using a Dell all-in-one on a BB line with filter and it's fine.
