Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,

I've been following the threads here for a while on the best wireless router (From all accounts Linksys) and now as a follow up I was just wondering if you can tell me the best place to go on price.

The majority of places seem to be saying around €100 but all I'm looking for is one for home use to run 2 laptops off.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Cheers

it's the router i have and it's brilliant.

i have two laptops wirelessly connected(my own and my brothers) and my main pc connected through a ethernet port.

it's great as i have the router set up to filter by mac addresses of the two laptops so only these two laptops have access to the wireless network and also have it WEP protected.

it's a good router and modem (forgot to mention that aswell so no need for your old modem thus saving a socket on your gang adapter) for €99 - which is what i paid for it - and at €65 + €10 for shipping it's a steal.

WEP can be cracked in about 20 minutes. MAC filtering isn't going to make any difference to anyone who is capable of cracking WEP.

Use WPA-PSK if you're going to go to the bother of encrypting your connection.
