Well its put on the thread so that people will tell us before we confirm that they are going. People are free to email or pm either of us and leaving medical details til we arrive at the location will be frowned upon.

good point - might still happen though so I think you should be aware of it!

If anyone is stupid enough to come along on something like this and not tell us, and sign a waiver and STILL not mention it (but i dont think that would happen) .... then we'll just step over their bodies and continue on with the night.

Are strobe lights not just going to make people think they're seeing things ?

Its potentially nothing more than a tool which will allow us to observe the enviroment under different conditions. I just remeber having read statements like the one I quoted above with regards to it basically showing you a room in slow motion.

One of you "thinkers" might be able to expand on it or just quash my ideas.

Another quote here from an Investigators website:
Among the more experienced groups is a practice that goes back to the infancy of photography. Using the flash as a means to actually see successfully paranormal phenomena and effects. This is done by holding the camera or flash unit down below eye level and looking at the effect of the camera flash using normal vision, NOT the rangefinder or other eyepiece.

The modern strobe light recreates that effect perfectly and the some with its variable flash rate. The device is placed on the floor towards a suspect area and then turned on. The flash rate is adjusted so that any airborne "contaminates" appear to be frozen while allowing faster moving phenomena to be enhanced and therefore visible.

Relatively quite inexpensive, these lighting effect tools are much cheaper to run and upkeep as opposed to replacing burned out camera flashes and alike. The downside is that all the worthwhile strobe lights presently require 110V AC to operate.

Again I think anything which gives us a broader range of enviroment conditions is a good thing. I will also have a blacklight with me (thanks psi ;)) which is handy among other things for showing up airborn particles.

Sounds like an interesting idea alright...

Even if it doesn't work on an investigation, we could just dance the night away and pretend we have our own nightclub for the night... :p

Tested the EMF reader last night and I'm happy with it. It will take exact readings and picks up fields from humans. I got the largest readings from peoples heads (as expected). I thinking of using excel a bit next time, and maybe using the spreadsheet function in gmail so we can add results etc for stuff that we noted on the night but never got a chance to document

All sounds good ..... i wonder what reading differences you'd get between a sleeping person and a waking person?

I would love to see if you get any changes between a regular consciousness person and maybe a deeply meditating person or someone in contact with spirit!

I sent Stevenmu a PM about this last night as I thought it would be good for his RV stuff, I should have just posted it here as it concerns everyone. I tested it on a slightly gifted guy i work with and I got higher reading from him compared to three other people, this is a stupidly small test set so we can't take anything from it. I was hoping that during the next Ross visit that an RV test could take place and I was going to take before /during and after readings from people. this is a similar idea to your idea Aisling&M, looks like I'll have to follow the crazies around taking readings from them.
I think the hands are important too as in the tips of the fingers but I dont know enough about it yet to do anything but talk around it.

BTW, I know the meter was cheaper from the other guys, but when i ordered from Toms gadgets deliveries and communication was better.

Sounds like a plan ..... do you have a link to the one you bought?

    http://www.trifieldmeter.com/

    TriField Natural EM Meter

This site (currently down) has some great info and reviews of meters http://www.lessemf.com

These are the meters recommended in that book I gave you a loan of 6th. Mine is model 1 there is a model 2 with extra bits and bobs but they are mainly useful for detecting lightning storms etc so I didn't see the need for paying extra for this.
