    is that a Citroen ZX?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 223 ✭✭darkbeatz

    not sure colm.

the problem with the car is its running on one cylinder at the moment but is perfectly road worthy. I currently have 3 people interested whom I have sent my number to so this is a first come first served

    cheers :)

Furio 1.8 is the "hot-ish" ZX.

This thread should really be in adverts.

    Mike.

A car cannot run on a single cylinder.

    Mike.

Some of the very first cars ever made were single cylinder, i.e. Peugeot and Cadillac.:)

    cheers junkyard!

Yeah but they were designed to run on one cylinder! I would imagine a 4 pot on one pot is rather lame.

    Mike.

I had a Corolla diesel running on one cylinder once upon a time, not very well mind.

I remember really wanting one of those when they were new and I was in school!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,579 ✭✭✭junkyard

I always though they were a bit kit-car-ish for my liking but the turbo diesel one was a flyer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 73,455 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

yeah a few lads had van versions of them, They were considered cool at the time (shared a lot with the 306 if I remember rightly)

Not really. The "hot" ZX was the Elysée. Had one myself, 1997 1.4i, for 2 years. Absolutely fab car.

A 1.4 Elysee sounds like a special edition. The Furio was hot-ish and the Volcane was the top version being a 2.0 ltr

    Mike.

Elysse was a run out model they did before the Xsara came out, wasn't fast at all! came in 1.4i or 1.9d

You're right about the precursor to the Xsara, wrong about the speed though. Ok, it wasn't as fast as a Honda, but it was a nippy 1.4.

I also thought the Elysée came in 1.6 and 2.0 petrol models too??

Sorry the post is going a little off-topic!
