PHP and AJAX

anybody knows a good place to start learning php with ajax?

seems to be a very good way of making a website more responsive especially combo boxes without writting a lot of html in the browser.

i have 2 combos at the moment and they are working grand using ajax, but the second one only updates after the first is select it having the onChange javascript.

I would like the second box to be filled in after the submit button cause i already have a value for the main combo.
I tried body onLoad but it doesn't work.

I've ordered "Building Responsive Applications with Ajax and PHP". Ill see how the book is, seem to have got good reviews

I was looking at few of the books last night myself, but very litle reviews about them.

This one seems to be intersting:
