How long did it take you to complete VII ?

    I just got the game for pc... I had it years ago on the ps1 and the only part I can remember getting to was up in the real world part of it..

    Just curious on average how long did it take people here who have finished to finish it lol :D

    The longer the better ! I put over a 100hrs into 10

    I still haven't gotten around to finishing it.... so about 8 years and counting for me.

    i flew through it sometimes in about 25-30 hrs, but i had an ultimate save on about 95 hrs.

    I've played through it a few times, if you're going for all that Emerald/Ruby rig-a-ma-roll, you could be taking the best part of a hundred hours to sort everything out. Just going through the story at a leisurely pace, then it's maybe thirty or forty hours.

    First time was a little over 40 hours. The second was 35. It's easy to fly through but you will need to do sidequests once you get to the final boss since there is a huge difficulty spike.

    Hey just out of curiosty ive just goten to the 60th floor of the shirna building and after the cutscene with the guy in the camera room... The game crashes to my desktop... Any ideas ? Ive already tried once more same thing happens... but I dont feel like going up those stairs again lol....

    You could go in through the front. Won't make much difference though since the same cutscene happens and the game takes off at the same place. Reinstall might be in order.

    Maybe a patch download?

    Also it took me about 50 hours to get through the game, then the second time about 70 hours including Knights of the Round and defeating the two ultimates

    EDIT: I decided to do a little investigation for you and came across this:

    It says it fixes all known problems about playing VII with XP(i hope thats the problem) and since that cutscene is unavoidable i'm sure it's fixed with this

    Hey Bluto thanks, im going to install that anyway even though I got passed it ! Once I went past the cutscene I just went back into the elevator and went to floor 60 again it brought me past the cutscene part and straight to where you gota get passed the guards... I was getting worried for a second lol !

    It all depends how far you want to lvl your party.

    My longest time is well in excess of 100hrs but thats because I spent much of the time stat maxing. lvling to 99 is easy and wont take long with the right materia. Using morph to max stats takes forever but its the only way to get them all to 255.

    It doesnt take long to finish the game itself, but to complete it fully takes a long, but enjoyable amount of time. :)

    First time I cleared VII (so long ago now) I'd say it took me about 50 hours.
    I think the quickest I've done it in now is about 25. My ultimate save (completing everything) is 38 hours now.

    X was the longest for me, my ultimate save is about 120 hours or something crazy. Though I haven't replayed that nearly as much as with VII.
