Ok, I live in bray, and I'm hoping to get my lip pierced tomorrow, now I don't really want to go to CR in town, so I was wondering about getting it done in Bray, I know there are a couple of places, but does anyone have their names and websites? Thanks a bunch, this is my first so I'm looking foward to it.

Town is only a half an hour away so I think it's worth the trip in.

I went to the place in Georges street arcade, I know they don't have a shining rep, but it only cost 22 yo yo, which was pretty fair, the woman who did it was nice enough, she did a good job, I just cleaned it not 5 mins ago, and it went back in pretty easily, she also gave me a smaller ring to put in after possible swelling goes down, all in all, I was happy with it.

Good going you just went to a place that uses a hair brush steriliser for contamination control yay!

It wasn't worth the trip into town if you're going to go to that place. Very unprofessional setup and the piercers lack experience. If there was a law in the land regarding piercing they would be shut down right away.

Bummer, well at least I didn't have my friend do it the other night with a nail, well, I'm really higenic, so as long as I look after it well I should be fine. Getting another one Celestial Ring in a few days though.

I think you've pissed on my parade enough ;)

Well, it may not of been the most professional, but everything that was used was new and clean out of the packet, fresh gloves that went straight into the bin afterwords. I think I'll be ok.

From this post I gather you took the jewellery out to clean it. Bad move hombre. I think it's safe to assume then that you were given little, no, or inaccurate aftercare information, which is a big part of a successful piercer's responsibility. I wouldn't trust that place as far as I qould spit.

And this is how you think to redeem yourself? Seriously, that's one of the less intelligent things I've heard in recent times. What makes you think that's remotely witty or a decent retort? Besides, where you went, the nail might have been a safer option.

Probably best not to go on at him any further. I once got pierced at the place when I was young and inexperienced with piercing. If he goes back to the place after recieving the above information he's a fool.

    We live and learn...

I take it no one went through the ABC of being a successful shill with you did they?

3 posts does not exactly constitute building up the trust of the community that you're whoring...oops silly me I mean "marketing", in.

everyone knows your words mean nothing in "the community" unless u got 3000+ posts on boards.ie

Nothing to do with it, I had just reported the poster for marketing a website on another forum two seconds beforehand.
3 posts and one of them was pimping a website.

It goes like this, you make a few posts in assorted fora to make people think you have an interest and are a regular user then you pimp your site.

    What was that there El_rabitos?

The user has since been banned, but then you need 3000 plus posts here to help out with stuff ey rabitos?......or something.

The people who run the site get advertisers to pay, these whoring leaches dont pay.

whats wrong with pimping a site? u dont have to click on it, unless ur dougal looking at a big red button that says "do not touch"

i'm not sure the rest of what u said was english, so i'll just smile, nod, and agree.

yeah that seems to be about the height of it alright.

Now if you want to troll do it elsewhere.

If you want to know what's wrong with marketing on here, it's written at the end of the post, it's the bit about the site owners wanting money from marketing people, but that doesn't concern you, just keep smiling, nodding and agreeing.

Well, after hearing your guys views on the place I won't be going back there again I assure you. (Rather not risk funky infections)

I have had it in for over 24 hours now and it hasn't even swolen let alone bled or produced that pus sort of stuff, I have been cleaning it well though (After hearing how bad that place was I thought the least I should do is make sure I let nothing else goes wrong). But I seem to be looking after it and nothings gone wrong so far, so hopefully it will stay that way.

Ah right, makes sense now....was a tad confused before.

[QJ]Seredeth: What comes across as anger from alot of the posters towards you and your decision to go to georges street isnt really anger. They are just concerned about peoples well being and the image of body piercing.
Hopefully the piercing will be non problematic and it will heal fine.
But god forbid if it rejected or you got some nasty ass infection which casued you alot of pain (which could have been avoidable) you would have a bad opinion on the whole body piercing "community".
It basically boils down to quality vs. expense (both monetary and health related)

So to basically wrap it up:

    we care ;)
