They were on this weekend. No official results yet released (though requested).

Basicly, Wilkinstown swept most of the boards. First in the 50m 3P, 5/6/7th in the Prone 50m (our worst event) (Robert Clarke from N.I. won the Prone), and everything in the airgun except the 40-shot championship gold (we took the silver, there was no bronze), and the bronze in the air pistol (we took silver and gold). Everyone in the ten-shot final in air rifle was from Wilkinstown, every place in every class was won by a Wilkinstown shooter, and all but four of the air rifle shooters (and three of the five air pistol shooters) were from Wilkinstown (and two of those four air rifle shooters received training from Wilkinstown).

But, again, the problems with running four of the six National Championship matches in one weekend cropped up again, in spades. Shooters were run ragged by the end of the weekend, especially Richard Stapleton Jr. and Daniel Fleming who shot everything bar the air pistol match. It really is too much to be asking shooters to go from the Midlands to the UCD range and shoot three matches consecutively in three days. Scores were down again from the years when we ran the matches seperately, and so was attendance at the airgun matches as most of the college students weren't available to attend (the only ones who did were postgrads or living locally anyway).

I'll post a more complete report when the scores are released.

We are, and no problem les. We're training for the world championships pretty much every day, and the range is closed for coaching for that on tuesday and thursday evenings and sunday afternoons, but it's open the rest of the time.

Hmmm. Not really. Friday's a bit busy in Tiernans and Monday's going to be busy too. Sunday evenings should be okay from about three onwards though.
