Anyway will prob see 2 pages of "ahh your just after the mods" etc but really Im not, I have great time for alot of the mods and have had great discussion with them but my point is got to do with the overall site. Are you getting bored with it and the cr*p that goes on here daily???

Look here's the thing. The world isn't static, things change and definitely social sites like this change a lot. This site is nothing like the site I joined 5 years ago and tbh I'm quite different to the person I was 5 years ago also. You can't expect sites like this to remain in situ while you have your fun. It's the same with a bunch of friend you go socialising with often. Things change, people get in and out of relationships etc, they don't remain static in the long term.

If this site, or any site, is bothering you and you're not having fun anymore just take a break from it. Come back after the break and see if it interests you again. If it doesn't, then just walk away from it. There's no point in being here and posting here if you aren't enjoying it and there is no shame in walking away from a site that no longer holds your interest.

As you can see I am a long member of boards

2003...i dont know. I wouldnt have considered you a long time member of boards...(*bangs stick* Whippersnapper!)

Your post count says different though.

How do you judge that someone is 'old' in boards?

Maybe if you last long enough to be here for more then 1 cosmetic change of the entire forum.

I wouldnt have considered myself long time user, cause I came literally at the tail end of the forum going from a games board to a ganeral issues forum.

Anyone who was here for that i would consider a long time user.

But I guess just by being a more active user you can become 'older' quicker then moderate users.

    hmm.

And here is the problem I have with a mod, if a normal user posted this they would be banned!!!

please post up links to all of the places i have banned someone for something like this.
    i'd like proof.

becusae this is just another off the cuff remark form you. just like most things.

Also its not a feedback or a whinge its a question so move it back!!

    ok, we have different terminology.
unfortunately for you, my terminology wins and i have moved it from AH to feedback.

Edit: Sorry are we not allowed to ask questions on boards anymore?

sure you are. where have you not been allowed to ask a question?

or is this just another petulant outburst?

    *waah* *waah*

boards.ie doesnt fulfill my needs and that wwman is picking on me (although i refuse to show any proof)

    *waah* *waah*

you know, after a while, people like you are just background static.

as already mentioned, things change, things turn a corner onto a street we may not be comofrtable with. at that point you have to ask yourself, do i still want to be on this bus.
if you do, stay on and have fun.
if not, better get off and start walking back to where ever you want to go.

but anyway, if you can get that proof stuck up where i have done all of these terrible injustices to you in your long tenure on boards.ie, i will be happy to be proved wrong and apologise for all of the misery i have apparently heaped upon your poor injusticed soul...

i may even be as apologetic as to buy you a new rattle.

Hopping on the "pfft, 2003 is not long term" krew.

Then again, I got myself invovled with the running of the site rather than complaining about it when I saw problems or issues.

This is probably the fundamental difference between the moderators and the complainers. We see problems, we want to help fix them.

I knew the sigpo would be on about that sig. :D

So this one is within the rulez.

Are you getting sick of boards yet?
    Hell no.
But I suppose it depends on what your interests are.
Not all boards involve slagging matches, cronyism or whatever else.
It's such a big place I don't think everyone has the same experience anymore.
Sick of some boards: yes ... sick of boards.ie: no

Tbh it was just a coincidence that I happened to be wearing pants when I wrote that. I am currently not wearing pants.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,488 ✭✭✭SantaHoe

Wouldn't blame you tbh... disgustingly hot today.
I've got one of those water foot massagers under my desk with ice cold water in it... it's awesome :D
It was either that or no pants... though I may attempt both.

The threat was enough to make them install air conditioning at work ;)

At home, it's no pants while my jeans sit in a sweaty disgusting washing pile.

Feb 2005, when a brief search for a mobile phone on an irish site led to me dropping out of college.

    So eh...no.
