For all those using BT POP Mail (@iol.ie) here is a useful filter system for getting rid of Spam on the mail server.
    Go to: http://mailman.iol.ie
At the log in screen type in your user ID - The first part of your email address before the @.
Then type your password, and a new screen will appear.
In this screen you can type in your filter words that you wish to use to filter out mail and then click "apply". Each filter will then appear in a list on the screen so that it can be checked for accuracy. You can do this with each of the addresses or words in each spam email that you want to have filtered and the list will be populated.
When finished just log out by closing your browser.

You'd want to be careful with that :)

you could also use mailwasher which lets you view your mails on the server and mark them as friend or delete. when you process mail the spam or viruses are deleted and all you get is whats left eg the mails you want. it's very useful for those on dialup as you can see the size of the mails as well and delete large emails which would take forever to download. you can also view the complete header and see inside the email to check for viruses. those emails purporting to come from your bank or financial institution show up straight away as they are full of meaningless text. http://www.mailwasher.net/

    Why ??
I put it up here because its something BT (aka Esat) have always had, but for some reason never tell customers that its there and available to use. ? Seems puzzling. ?
I have used "PocoMail" for donkeys years. www.pocomail.com
It does all that Mailwasher does, and maybe more. In fact they look remarkably alike. :-)

He probably means that it could lead to a lot of false positives.

If you aren't careful you can end up blocking a lot of valid email.
We've had it happen to clients in the past :)

I said the same as blacknight ..kinda.

Life here would be better with a penis enlargement, or even viagra but the bastards never respond to my e-mails for some reason.
