Just reading about this on digg and was wondering if anyone is familure with this concept? If they are i have a few questions
Also have a look at http://www.fairtax.org/

    What happens if:
    1) A services company in the US sells its services only to non US based company's then invests all its money outside the US? They would be paying very very little tax (only on utilities Capitol expenditure etc)

    2) If someone in the US purchased something off the Internet outside the US then they would be paying no tax if its a service and if its a product they may end up paying no tax if they do not declare it to customs

    3) If this system works so well and it reduces tax by 20 - 30% then where does the state and federal government get its money from?
