women's road bike recommendations

Hi, is there any clear-cut system for finding out what size bike suits you best? my wife's looking for a new road bike but is pretty tall and I'm wondering if the standard sizes womens bikes come in are big enough. (s, m, l, etc.) Also, she was looking specifically at the Scott Roadster P4... would anyone recommend it...or…

Most road frames come in sizes graduated for most inside leg sizes - see here:

if her indoors wants a normal 'A' frame bike then the usual recommendations apply: Specialized, Trek, Lapierre etc...

oops, I'm not aware of the proper terminology - I meant a commuting, city bike.
