Meeting to discuss philosophy?

    This might sound strange, but do any of you lot meet up for coffees and the likes to discuss philosophy? None of my friends read philosophy - and perhaps I don't properly either, but I like to think I do.

    I've been reading a lot of classics lately, am nearly finished Also Sprach Zarathustra, have just started Human, All Too Human, and am interested in reading more... just need direction... oh and at least one other person to at least bounce ideas off :rolleyes: :D

    I actually think it would be a good idea. I've a next door neighbour who has just discovered philosophy so we chat about it all the time. It really increases your interest in the subject.

    A philosopher who actually wants to discuss it with others - an outrage I say, pint of hemlock immediately!

    Another non-real-live -human alternative is the forum of Philosophy Now which is a good magazine I subscribe to:
