    hi guys,

does anyone know what type of doctype should be used to validate a website? i know there are different types for different types of sites but none of the doctypes given on the w3c validator site work with my website. its more or less plain html with some inline css. how the hell do you know which doctype is the right one to use??

What type of validation errors are you getting? Post some markup and we can have a look.

7aken, first of all you are going to have to correct your html

    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.space95.sc%2Fsouth%2Findex.html

Even the above validation points out some bad html coding on your part. I suggest you fix them first and then have a look at validation again.
