Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well Im not from Cork though I as down there giging on thursday if that counts! :D
It all really depends on what you want to do musicaly but seeing as this is a dance music forum Im gonna assume you want to do club music.

That being the case all you really need for starters is a pc (preferably not with to much other **** on it like file sharing programs ect. and a good virus checker is important if your using the net on the same pc regularly).

A half decent soundcard (not an audigy/soundblaster type thingy if you can avoid it).
The are are plenty of cheap really good soundcards out there now with nice quality ad/da converters.
O and make sure the soundcard has midi capabilities for using your midi keyboard with to trigger sounds within your software (though a keyboard isnt essential).

Then basically all you need is Cubase and a few vstis (virtual instruments that work within Cubase) and hey presto, your making dance music :)
You could also get Reason which alot of people swear by, just not my prefered route.
I hope this helps and if ye have any further questions feel free to ask.
