    Hi,

Looking for a decent 4x4 garage to look at a 96 jeep cherokee 2.5TD - Think I have a problem with the engine mounting (lot of vibration/shuddering when I turn off the engine). Don't want to bring it to a main dealer because I have to eat this month.

    Anyone got any recommendations?

    Much obliged,

    Guv.

just bring it to a regular garage. no need for a 4x4 specialist to sort you out. find a decent mechanic nearby. why in the name of god would you bring a '96 car to a main dealer???

I could recommend a guy in tralee or cork if you're at this end of the country.

I've got a 97' Pajero and have tried a few garages around south dublin and the best that i've found is Rathmichael Motors in Shankill. They arent specifically for 4x4s but they can service them. They did a fair bit of work on mine including fitting a new steering box as well as a general service. They werent 2 dear, the full service came 2 about 300,which is probably one of the cheaper services.

I've got a similar problem with vibration and shuddering when i start the engine and will get them 2 look at that at the next service.
