I've been looking around for a Wall Bracket for my 32" LCD and I was wondering if anybody could recommend a decent one that doesn't cost an arm or a leg. Plus if anyone has any experience mounting it on a wall I'd love to hear any advice that you may have.

Most decent ones are within the 120-200 price bracket.
I wouldn't like to trust my 32" lcd on the wall with a €60 bracket holding it up.

Komplett have a decent range that a VESA compliant.

If at all possable, try and mount it in a brick wall and use an 8mm drill bit and the brown screw plugs. Use a heavy type screws as this will ensure that it will not pull away from the wall.

If it's the case where you are mounting it on a partition/studded wall, try and atleast get one side of the bracket on the wooden battons behind the plaster.
Decent brackets allow for alot of movement of the screw, so it could be the case where possably you can get both ends of the bracket screwed into the battons.
Failing that, you can use easy drives, where by you screw in a large metal screwgrip that grabs to the plaster and then you screw your screw into the middle of the easy drive. The more you use of them, the better.

Once in your own mind you feel the bracket is well secure and is not going to fall off or pull away, then you can mount your TV.
Also remember to fish your power and tv cables if you have a partition wall, as it will look a lot cleaner and nicer.
In the case of a brick wall ie: a fireplace, you would have 2 options.
    1. Chase the wall for the cables then reinstate with plaster.
    2. Install the cables in a surface minitrunking to the TV.

    Hope all goes well. ;)

    Thanks for that.

The bracket that I was looking at was this one.

The wall I'll be hanging it on is (hope I get all the terminology right) is a Partition Wall, i.e. it's a dividing wall between 2 houses. It has plasterboard that is glued to a block wall, think it's called Dob & Dab?

Don't think I'll be chasing the cables though as I don't mind have them in trunking.

Normally (in Irish building terms) a partition wall is an internal wall made of timber framing with plasterboard attached. You may be confusing it with the term 'party wall' which what a wall common to 2 houses is called.

Anyways you will need a good hammer-drill to go into the blockwork behind the plasterboard, and use long bolt-screws with matching rawl-plugs. The kit you linked to seems to include everything you'll need.

That's the one, I always get the two confused. Cheers. ;)

Also known as a stuck wall..nothing but the plaster board to hold your t.v.... For extra safety in this situation you could cut out a piece pf the plaster board and mount a timber batten directly on to the wall behind.. While your at it fish your cables up the inside of the wall.. should be about an inch or two of room there.. re plaster it all up paint etc..and m ount your telly (most of the work hidden behind the tv anyway)
other than that youll need long bolts that can travel all the way back to the brick wall to mount your bracket... needs to be very close to the plaster though i.e. not much of a gap.. there are specialist bolts you can get and just cut mini holes in the plaster board to fix them top the wall...
