Its not like Franz Ferdinand being rip off merchants is a surprise the band its self may as well be a Josef K cover band

Franz Ferdinands main inspiration sems to be XTC circa 1978-79

And more so the Kaiser Chiefs. When I heard them first, I thought they WERE XTC. Oh I know it's been obvious from day one that Franz Ferdinand are rip-off merchants but I've never seen it as blatantly as this - the kilts and everything. Other bands being ripped off by the current crop - Adam and the Ants and Ultravox.
