Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've got a Nokia phone that's completely dead, won't start up no matter what. Pressing power button over and over with no response. Have charged it, messed around with the battery and sim card, but nothing happening. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Two: Use it as a paperweight or get it repaired.
    (Try another charger and battery,etc.)

When you plug in the charger does anything come up on the screen at all? Any idea how old the phone is and if its under the warranty?

Need more information. How long have you had it? does it appear to charge? Which network it from? Tried another battery in the phone? Did it get dropped, or wet?

Its an old phone, circa 4 years old. The screen doesn't come alive at all when the power button is pressed, nothing whatsoever comes up, the lights don't come on. Its on vodafone. Didn't drop it or let it near water.

Best thing you can do is a try another battery in it and see if theres any change.

It prob wont be worth the while to get it repaired to be honest, you;ll prob get credit/a good price on a new phone. Try another batt if you can find it.

Well technically he could get an out of warrenty repair but price wise it'd be a pretty silly thing to do.

I think out of warranty repairs cost about €70 from MPRC.ie.

what about a few more details make.. model... why do you want a four year old phone?does it have sentimental value to you?
the reason I ask s cos you can get Nokia phones out of warranty repaired pretty esily and cheeply if you know wher to go... any other model forget it

Ah they used to do a "flat rate" €70 job, guess they done away with that.

i've kept it because it works and didn't give me any trouble, so why replace it.
