Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jst spotted a newsfeed item on a Liverpoool site saying O'Leary is gone, with er O'Leary in the managment grave. (look that reference up!)
David O'Leary has left Aston Villa following a six hour meeting with the board of directors.

The parting comes following the row over who was behind the 'collective' player statement that was published in the local media.

A statement issued by Aston Villa on their website reads as follows:

On 17 July 2006, Aston Villa Plc ("Aston Villa" or the "Company") announced that the board of Aston Villa (the "Board") had set up an internal enquiry into the circumstances surrounding the publication of a statement purportedly from the entire first team squad.

That enquiry has completed its investigations. Although no misconduct by the manager, David O'Leary was uncovered, as a result of the investigation, it has been agreed that an amicable parting of the ways was in the best interests of all parties.

Accordingly, a compensation package reflecting the situation has been established and it has been mutually agreed to terminate the contract of David O'Leary, with immediate effect

    Mike.

In all fairness to O'Leary, he didn't have much to work with at Villa and his squad got smaller every season. He didn't have a penny for transfers this summer.

Who will Ellis get to manage them that will work with no transfer budget and the smallest squad in the Premiership?
