GTR 2 Demo Released

    The demo comes with driveable Lamborghini and Ferrari 575 around Barcelona, and in the race the AI drives some of the other cars that will be in the final release. The time trial mode is as it will be in the release, ghost car and visible driving line, and you can download ghost cars from other players. So far my impressions are very positive. I could never get into the original GTR because I could never feel the car, it seemed to float around the track. The new version feels more like GTL, only better.

    Does anyone know if the demo has starforce? My system is starforce free atm and i want to keep it that way.

    edit: i just googled and

    "GTR2 - 10Tacle Drops Starforce - 20-7-2006"

    From AutoSimSport Wires: "Informed sources have revealed to AutoSimSport that Starforce has been dropped from GTR2 - both the demo version available today and the final release version scheduled September 30th. Sources reveal that 10Tacle have, instead, opted for securrom, which our source reveals as a "Sony solution"."

    Well i havent come across anything referring to starforce either on the RSC GTR2 forums or indeed when i installed the demo.
    GTR2 is really special,im surprised by just how good it is.

    ya i like the demo. it does seem a good bit easier then the first game.
    more traction and you can't lock the breakes.(even with all aids turned off)
    I hope that will be fixed for the release.

    Remember the demo only features semi-pro as toughest setting.
    Wait for simulation :)

    Check your .plr to see if all the aids really are, because mine were mostly turned on despite running simulation with the aids off in the menus. There does seem to be a general consensus though that the final release physics won't be as forgiving as in the demo and that there may be some aids permanently on for the demo. We'll have to wait a couple months to see.

    what times are you guys getting.
    im not so good at racing sims and my best is 1.40.07
