Hi all, just wondering if this is correct.

    situation:
g/f house had eircom BB with netopia wireless router.
signed up with new crowd for BB, got a different router, no wireless.

my solution: (assuming I can't change the netopia box to login over the BB line to the new provider)

    laptop
    ip 192.168.0.3
    connects wifi to wireless router

    wireless router
    ip 192.168.0.2
    physically connected to new router.

    new router
    ip 192.168.0.1
    connected to phone line.

the gate way address on the lappy would be 192.168.0.1
    all subnets 255.2555.255.0

As long as you don't plug the WAN port on the netopia into the other router, (don't use the netopia as a router, just use it as a LAN switch) and you disable DHCP on on on of the boxes, that should work.

But if you're getting DSL, then you should be able to just use the Netopia in place of the new router.
