And to think i socialised with you, studied with you, talked with you, mabye even loved you:rolleyes: , and all this time you had a deep dark secret that you had a SWP past. I mean they can be terribly authoritarian. I thought you were in the SP, but its all tainted now :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Ogra Finna Fail: Maybe. Good policies but not really my cup of tea.
Fine Gael: No. They are pathetic. They have spent the last 6 months whoring themselves to the electorate, trying to ****-stir ans frighten people...I have no time for them. (Even though I agree with some of their policies that FF don't have)
Green Party: Idiots. Technological neanderthals who don't understand the limits of renewable energy.
Young Progressive Democrats (with the sexy vice chairman): Probably the best party in terms of Irelands future. I like all their economic policies but disagree with some social policies.
Labour Youth: Rather visit Vet, and shag all the patients.
Socialist Youth: I don't even know who these are.
Socialist Workers Party: From what I hear, even the left don't like these guys as they try to hijack campaigns and parties. How are they different from the CP.
Ogra Sinn Fein: I have yet to find a policy of theirs that I agree with.

In agreement. All of the parties have good points and bad points, good representatives and bad representatives. I usually try to vote for an independent over someone who is obsessed with towing the party line. Saying that my local td Dan Neville (fine gael)is pretty damn wicked.

Maybe I might start my own party..............pandapolitics..the big bamboo will work for you......

Yes, but without good people, politics is nothing.

Anyone want any info on YFG, pm me.

Further to Pythia's offer, to keep things balanced, anyone can PM me and I can give you the details for the people in the other campus political parties - you tend to meet most of these people being a civil servant-style hack...

Maybe pandapolitcs and the PPP (peoples party of paul) should go into coalition together. We may get more members that way? We can call it the PPPPPP party(PandaPolitics and the Peoples Party of Paul Party)

How many of the committee members of the parties do we have here on Boards, actually? We've got the Chairs of LY and FG, the secretary of FF, vice-chair of the PDs...

its not just you. In order to get involved in any major political body you have to be an asshole or a sheep - its a prerequisite.

I agree in terms of student politics.

Also, how about saving the political pimping for the newswire?

What do college politcal parties do? I joined the youth PDs last year in 1st year ucd and all they seemed to do is email and text me looking for me to go canvassing or putting up posters for them! Looking back on it, I dont know why I bothered joining a political party,I joined the PDs because they have the best policies for the development of the Irish economy and they arent left wing loonies or fianna fail.
