    howdy,

    am planning on changing hosts soon enough , site is resource heavy (it's not the site in my siggie either) so am looking for collocation options have gotten quote from blacknight & hosting365 but wanna get a few more before making decision anyone here recommend any other IRISH hosts that they would say are solid through and through

    ps: sorry mods , if this thread degenerates :o

    Best option, if the site is important to you, is to visit the host you are checking out (where possible). Also, bear in mind things like proximity of the company/staff to your server and things like 24/7 access to support and access to the datacentre.

    I would not rate any other hosters service but other opitions out there would be

    interxion.ie (data centre)
    dataelec.com (data centre)
    servers.ie
    webworld.ie
    servecentric.com (data centre)
    colocation.ie (im involved in this company)

    As Steve said best to visit the offices, and datacentres of these companys

    And to clarify, fro mthat list, interxion, dataelec and servecentric are data centre operators (they dont offer servers and are more standard colocation places). Of the rest on the list, only webworld has its own DC.
