I think its give and take, he will do more or less anything she wants because he likes her, i think men are genetically made that way, dont let it put you off having a GF tho, the trick is to get the balance, do for her all the things you think are reasonable and dont do the rest, play hard ball and dont allow yourself to be whipped, remember the girl wants the relationship as much as the guy, act like a lapdog and you will get treated like one. show her respect and love but be your own man and you will find that she will respect your strength.

My wife has the same tastes in movies, tv, music, travel as me so there is never really a reason for me to compromise or be whipped into doing something I don't want. She hates technical stuff which I love, but she loves cooking which I hate. We share all the rest of the chores around the house.

Most of the time the BF isn't "whipped" he is just choosing to do things with his GF because it is more enjoyable then hanging around with his friends. If the BF is ACTUALLY going out with a diva who is telling him what he can and cannot do then he needs to wise up and leave her.
