Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Altering Fablous Jeans

I bought some fabulous jeans but they are a little long for me. I have been wearing them and they are starting to fray/tear at the end.

I have heard that it is possible to get jeans altered by not taking them up at the end. Apparently there is a way of doing it across the leg or something. If this is true is there anywhere in Dublin that would provide such services?

there's a couple of places on upper abbey street, i use express alterations, it's just before the epicurian food hall.

i've got a pair of jeans being altered at the mo.

€20, but i'm getting em takin up and flared a bit.

Get some Wunda-web! I'm 5'3'' and I take up everything with this stuff! you iron it on but if you want to let them down to wear with heels you can but it make take some work to get rid of the turn-up line. They sell it in sewing shops and it works great - if they fall down you just do it again...

I go to a tailor at the end of Mary Street to get stuff taken up and they do a really good job of it too. I've had jeans taken up there and while they did it from the end of the leg you'd never know that they we altered as they managed to keep the end looking the same. They are called City Tailors if you're interested.

Any good tailors should be able to alter a pair of jeans and leave the original ends tbh.

Haven't heard of taking them up without taking them up at the ends though.
