Meteor Pre-Pay Sim

Hi, Does anyone know if I get a free meteor prepay sim card from a meteor store, is the number assigned to it already or do you have to ring meteor to get your new number. Do all Meteor prepay numbers start with 085 1xxxxxx?

The number is usually assigned to the sim. I haven't seen an 085 1xxxxxx number yet, but there may be some out there (most I've seen are 085 7xxxxxx)

Generally you'll get a number starting with 085 1xx xxxx but there are also numbers with 085 7xx xxxx. It just depends on what shop you go to.
If you ask, they'll probably show you their selection.

You only get it for "free" if you buy €20 top up credit there to activate it..

10euro. 20euro is only if you want to activate the free texts.

The first batch of numbers were 085 7xx xxxx but then when that ran out they moved to 085 1xx xxxx. Myself and one of my friends are the only Meteor people I've seen with 7xx numbers, everyone else I know on Meteor has 1xx ones. I was lucky to get a 7, specifically refused 1.

Im sure theres some shops out there that have 085-7 numbers available.

There would be a small number of recycled ones alright.
