Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is the benefit of setting up a distribution list on your mobile phone other than convience.

I know that you can put up to 20 contacts in a list and send them all the same text message at one time.

But I am not sure if there is any money saving with this. Does anyone know?

We have a beautiful Mobiles/PDAs under Comp->Consumer Electronics which maybe more suited for your question.
As for your question, I don't know. The only time I ever seen the contact thing being used is when our football team manager would send the same message to the players ("Training on Wednesday in park, 8pm sharp).

There would be non....this just the handset allowing you to text mutliple people the same thing at the same time....it has nothing to do with your service provider.

Some of the companies may have a product that allows you to send a lot of text for slightly cheaper rates, but the emphasis would be on the slighter, and it would normally be a business level product, i.e not something that would be support for personnal customers.

They will still charge you for each message seperately though. If you want to send to loads of different people at the same time then you are probably better off using the web text for free, and you then have no excuse for using txt spk either.

I think O2 used to have an "all@once" thing that was cheaper to send text messages in bulk like that, not sure though.
