new cordless phone stops my broadband

    Hi all,

    Im signed up with eircom broadband, and i purchased a new cordless handset off them. The thing is, when i plug it in i get no broadband at all. On my old coardless phone ,broadband could not be used while the phone was being used but its not working now when the phone is plugged in. Anybody have any ideas?

    Have you got a dsl filter between the phone and the line?

    Every device connected to the phoneline needs a filter. The double filter is used where the modem is plugged in. However, DECT cordless phones have been known to cause problems with BB even with a filter
