    I speak Swedish and can generally understand Danish especially in the written form but that would be no good to you if you are only interested in Danish as it would be much harder to understand Danish as a beginner than learning Danish directly itself.

    For learning Danish:

    You could ask at the Danish Embassy in Dublin, their website is at http://www.ambdublin.um.dk/en

    There are also Danish curses at the Sandford Language Institute - http://www.sandfordlanguages.ie/danish.htm and they may do private tuitions also - http://www.sandfordlanguages.ie/privatetuitions.htm
