Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Agreed fantastic result. As far as i am aware, there were 4 gottenberg players in swedens world cup squad. And they were beaten well last night.

I say it would have to of been , because I certainly don't remember it happening in recent years and before that well.............you'd be lucky if one side made it past the first round .

Doing the league proud lads! Well done...It's a shame Shels couldn't have gotten a few big results like that too, but this has to be our best European campaign from a league perspective for a long time (ever?) and the co-efficient (sp?) is going up all the time!

Ireland have 1.666 so far, only Latvia have a higher haul so far with 1.875.

Ireland have moved ahead of Liechtenstein, Belarus, and Iceland I think.

This amy be a provisional list

5/1 chance Derry or Drogheda could draw Newcastle as they are one of 10 teams in their section of the draw see http://www.uefa.com/index.html.
Also if Irish teams keep progressing the way they are they might get easier draws and maybe even a bye into round 2 of Cl. For this years euro comps Ireland are seeded 40th, next year they will be seeded 37th but by 2010 could be 25th which would give a Cl by into 2nd round all can be found here:

Yeah the good thing is in the next 2 years only 0.5 coefficient points will be lost while countries above Ireland will be losing closer to 2.0.

Its exciting times alright for eircom league followers. We have one of the most competitive leagues in Europe now with 33% of the teams in the league in with a great chance of winning the title.
