Hi, We are getting married next Thursday, and the reception is in Portumana. We have just realised that there are bridge lifts on the bridge there at 12.30 and 15.00 and these could affect people going to the church and coming back from the reception. Hi,

We are getting married next Thursday, and the reception is in Portumana. We have just realised that there are bridge lifts on the bridge there at 12.30 and 15.00 and these could affect people going to the church and coming back from the reception.

Does anyone know how long these bridge lifts last, and how long the traffic queue would be.

The bridge lift time depends on how many boats are waiting to pass through in both directions.Have got caught there a couple of times but was usually waiting no longer than 15 mins all told.
If you are having a big wedding then the traffic could be big.
on the bright side might be a nice photo op.
