Phone Unlocking

    I have a LG u360 and am with the 3 network!

    i have just moved to edinburgh and need to get the phone unlocked!!

    tried the carphone warehouse where i bough the phone and they said you'd have to ring 3 we dont do that!!

    i rang 3 and they informed me that they couldnt unlock the phone for me!

    then i tried mobile connections in kilkenny and was told that 3 have their phones configured in a certain way that they cant be used for any other network - now this i refuse to believe cause there has to be some way of unlocking the phone - can someone help me out??

    a code or something??

    if i can get the phone unlocked i can just buy a sim pack instead of actually having to buy a new phone altogether!!!
