New bomb squad

    A new bomb squad for north Dublin is to be based at Gormanstown in Co Meath.The unit is being set up following recent bomb alerts at Dublin Airport.There has been concern is that the bomb squad has to travel across Dublin to reach the airport, and other north county locations.

    Would it not make sense to base such a squad at the airport?

    But what if they got a threat at Gormanstown?

    Seriously, though, Dublin Airport is fairly cramped. Where would they live and train?

    Maybe so but there is a base out in Gormanstown and troops out there,this is not just for the Airport but for all of North Dublin and Meath/Louth.

    you must remember they get called out most days its just it diesn't make the news there are regurly finds of old ira weapons and explosives ww2 ordinance and not to mention the pranks
