Whats the best pocedure for you to do when a "guard" trys to seize your car

    Right folk, as we can see from this thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054968366 and legal case, a garda shouldnt be let drive a seized car away from a scene, because thay are obviously incapable. Sure, half the force are on provisionals and a lot of newbies that joined are in their 20`s and never even drove or owned a car before. Basically what im saying is that: A SEIZED CAR SHOULD BE TOWED FROM A SCENE, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD A DOPEY GARDA CNUT BE ALLOWED DRIVE A VECHICLE AWAY.

    So, whats the best procedure to put in place when a garda trys to seize your car for any reason. By procedure, i mean making sure the car is towed and that the garda is not allowed to drive it, so that he/she doesnt:
    1 wreck the car and personal property of a hard working person
    2 kill himself (well if he crashes it, fook the loss of his life)
    3 kill an innocent person
    4 crash it into a bustop killing innocent people and wreck public property

    Do you:
    1. Lock it and refuse to hand over the keys? What could happen to you here if you refuse to give the keys, demanding you want it towed.

    2. If the garda is insisting he`ll be driving it away, do you lock it immediately and fone your solicitor immediately?

    3. Lock yourself in the car and fone a solicitor?

    4. Fone a towing company yourself to come and get whilst refusing to hand over the keys?

    So whats the best thing to do here people, any legal eagles know? Perhaps we can set a a little "procedure" to put in place if a garda with nothing better to do trys to seize our fully legal cars. :)

    ha ha ha where did you get your stats that half the force are on provisionals or that a lot of the newbies have never drove or owned a car? Your post is idiotic to say the least.

    One Garda crashes a car and you think 12,000 are "obviously incapable". :rolleyes:

    Gardai with provisional licences would not be permitted to drive a vehicle in that category while at work.
