Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pocket IE on XDA Exec problem

    I have a XDA Exec.
    It's using Pocket IE.

When I try to download certain files (like .cab for example) it just opens them in the browser rather than downloading them. For a .cab this results in a page of crap random symbols loading for 5 mins before I get low memory errors. I can't seem to find an option in PIE to change this so it downloads? Other files such as AVI give you an option.

And don't suggest I use a different browser please - I'd like to resolve this PIE issue first :)

    Thanks

from what i can gather, its not a PIE issue, its more of a server issue. the server is not returning the correct MIME info. not sugesting a different browser, but what about using a download manager? cant think of one off hand, but i used one before and they work well.

Server returns the info fine on my desktop to both FF and IE.
Server returns the info fine with Opera mobile on the Exec.

Seems to be a browser issue?

This is a common problem with WM phones/pda's.
