children's book recommendation

I've recently read "The Friendly Snowflake" by M.Scott Peck. It is a fable of faith,love and family for children and really is a lovely book. Can anyone recommend another book of a similar genre i.e. spirituality rather than doctrine? Edit/Delete Message

Not sure exactly what you are looking for because I don't know the book you mention, but there's a lovely book called The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. It's been a while since I read it but the story is quite touching as I remember.
