Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am thinking of getting Chorus broadband and have a router/modem left over since my eircom broadband days. Is there anyway this router can be adapted to be used for Chorus Broadband?? What type of router/modems do they use for the chorus broadband?? BTW I have a Netopia 3300

I dont think so. The router/modem you have is most likely an ADSL router, whereas Chorus uses cable.
If it was specifically a broadband router then you could use it in conjunction with the cable modem but by the sound of it, its an integrated ADSL modem.
    Therefore its unlikely.

If its the Netopia model eircom supply then no.

Most likely Chorus will give you a cable modem and you'll need to get a wifi router ( make sure its not an ADSL modem / router combi ).

You will get a cable modem from Chorus. However, you will need some sort of NAT or firewall device. If you only have the one computer, you can install a software firewall but I don't like these.

ADSL routers won't work with cable, as they have an ADSL modem built-in and cable doesn't use ADSL.

What you need to get is a broadband router. Any from this page should work:
